Leicester History Festival

Leicester Grammar School to hold its inaugural History Festival

There will be exhibitors that will engage a younger audience such as a ‘real’ Roman who will teach the children about his role and show them how to hold shields. A mini archaeological dig, mini archery and medieval crafts.  There will also be a falconry display and a Civil War re-enactment amongst many other child-friendly activities.

For the older audience there will be expert speakers presenting talks on WW1, societies to help research your local family war heroes, a tudor comedy and singalong, book sales and signings, Chinese history amongst many other interactive workshops and exhibitions.

Free car parking is available though as this is limited, we encourage you to use public transport or car share where possible.  Refreshments will be available for purchase at our V.E. Day street party!

The event is open to parents as well as your friends and family members.  Please register your interest at: https://www.lgs-senior.org.uk/registerattendance and for further details visit: https://www.lgs-senior.org.uk/leicesterhistoryfestival
