Pastoral

Here at LGJS we place a special emphasis on pastoral care and, within our nurturing community based on Christian values, our dedicated team of staff work with the children to enable the moral and spiritual well-being of each pupil to grow and thrive.

At Leicester Grammar Junior School we are united against bullying and are working to gain United Against Bullying status in collaboration with the Anti-Bullying Alliance. The programme supports schools to reduce bullying and improve the well-being of all pupils.

Monday 13th – Friday 17th November 2023 is anti-bullying week and LGJS pupils will begin the week by donning their odd socks and joining primary pupils across the country in a celebration of what makes us unique. Throughout the week and in keeping with the theme for 2023, pupils will engage in whole school and classroom-based activities to understand how they can make a noise about bullying.

Remember, bullying is never acceptable, and you need to make a noise about bullying. So, tell a trusted adult. There are also some friendly people who you can contact on the phone. They will listen to your worries and help you understand what to do next if you are being bullied or if you know someone who is being bullied.
